I hope you are doing great. Now, we all know how much clutter of makeup we all collect over the years! Storing makeup is not easy but it sure makes your life easy if it is all in one place and is organised. Today i will help you organize your vanity! So, let's get started!



1.Collect
This is the first and the foremost step to any organisation. Collect all the make up you have and short list by throwing away the old items and the ones you no more use, throw those away or give it to your siblings but make sure they are not expired.


2. Categorize
Sort your makeup. Keep your creams, lotions, foundations, concealers (basically all liquid items) etc in one place. Next sort your powders, this will include blushes, bronzers, setting powders, contouring powders, highlighters etc in another place for now.

Now sort all your pencils, this is eye pencils ( khol, liners etc) then all your lip liners and keep them in different places. If you have eye shadow palettes this makes half thing easy, but if you have individual eye shadows you will have to further categorize those in color scheme. For eg: Neutrals (browns, nudes), Tropical (blues, greens, purples, pinks, orange, yellow, etc) and then last the Darks (blacks, navy blue, grays). And categorize your lipsticks also in the same way.



3. Oragnize
Now this is the last step and the very fun part. You will need containers. You can either get fancy and buy these things or get old school and play around with things in your home. Like using old cups and customizing with writing fun things and using those to keep your eye liners and lip liners separately (remember not to mix these as our whole purpose will be lost). You can also take a small shoe box spray paint it or simply use old wrapping papers and cover it! Store your powder items here.

Use empty candle holders or tins to store brushes and liners. Tip: Use salt or marbles in order to make the brushes stand.

Diy your own show box or tissue boxes organizers. Tip: You can also cut the upper half of your favorite cereal boxes as the base is very strong to hold.

Use a permanent marker and name the holder (like, eyes, lips, face on each cup or jar) or write your favorite song lyrics or a inspirational quote. I hope you find this post helpful.
